Ariel Gail
Prof. Gail S. Goodman teaches psychology at the University of California Davis. She is also the Director of the Center for Public Policy Research. It is believed that she was the one responsible for initiating the modern study of the memory of witnesses and also children's witnesses. Professor Goodman who is a prolific author with numerous research publications as well as numerous grants, is also the recipient of a variety of international and national awards. She has worked with many government agencies and institutions across the world on policy and research relating to children who have been victimized by the justice system. She currently serves as consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center in Sacramento County Child Protective Services (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center). She was a part of several professional associations, which include those of the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. (Divisions of Experimental Psychology, Developmental Psychology Society for Child and Family Policies and Practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56) Professor Goodman also belongs to the Psychonomics Society, the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She has been president of the American Psychological Association's Developmental Psychology Division as well as three divisions of Children and Families Policy and Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
